Jesus said, “…My Father constantly does good, and I’m following his example.” (John 5:17)
In a perfect world, we would follow Jesus’ example;
in an imperfect world, we should.
In a perfect world, there would be no sin;
in an imperfect world, we can be forgiven.
In a perfect world, there would be only obedience to God;
in an imperfect world, we disobey.
What is good in this world is a reflection of God;
what is bad in this world is a reflection of our sins and the absence of God.
God is continually doing good, even though mankind has made our world an imperfect place.
Jesus followed God’s example and continually did good, even though He knew He would be crucified for it.
If we want to follow Jesus, we must follow His lead and try to do good always;
our heart will reflect what or who we have chosen to follow.
A person’s heart that is filled with love is the heart of a person who has chosen wisely.
