Psalm 91 is often referred to as the “Soldier’s Psalm,” because it offers refuge and protection in times of danger. However, it isn’t limited to soldiers. It is available to all believers.
There is only one God and only one way to God. That way is through Christ, and it is exclusive of all others.
My faith cooled and became lukewarm when it should have boiled.
God loves us and gives us so much — and expects so little in return.
By recognizing our mistakes and accepting responsibility for them, we can demonstrate our faith in Christ’s forgiveness and acknowledge our human fallibility. By so doing, we take advantage of an opportunity to grow in God’s grace.
God was visible in the compassion and community of the people where I lived.
Memories can fade, recognition may fall short, and the gratitude we now feel may not survive the ravages of sin and time. However, death need not permanently separate us.
